We confirm the following details from your artwork and physical sample before quoting or production.

Custom Pins and Badges — Project Specifications
Production direction	State whether you want a filled-colour metal pin, a printed badge or another format; construction and artwork requirements differ between methods.
Outline and relief	Supply the crest outline, finished dimensions and raised or recessed detail preferences; review fine lettering before deciding the metal divisions.
Colour and finish	Provide colour references and preferred metal appearance; assess filled areas, plating and printed additions against the approved artwork and sample.
Back fitting	Confirm pin posts, clutch style or another attachment preference, along with placement and intended use on clothing, bags or display cards.
Collection packing	List quantities per design, backing-card artwork, individual protection and barcode mapping; anniversary sets need a clear item count and assortment list.

Sample and quality checks

Check crest lettering, colour boundaries and metal finish under consistent lighting, then inspect the fitting on the reverse. Keep printed-badge and magnet approval criteria separate from those for a filled-colour metal pin.

Quotation and delivery

Quantity and price: Confirm quantity per design, size and colour. MOQ and price follow specification and packaging review.
Sample approval: Approve the material, dimensions, decoration and packing in writing before production.
Schedule: Sample, production and transit times are confirmed separately after review of the brief and receiving date.

Start with the artwork and intended use, not one generic product name.

Different constructions carry different color, detail, shape, tooling and hardware decisions.

Enamel pin

Suitable for simplified artwork with defined metal lines, color fills, plating and a post or clasp system.

Printed button badge

Suitable for detailed illustrations, gradients, photography and larger character series using a printed face.

Printed shaped badge

Custom outlines can create a stronger silhouette while keeping detailed printed artwork.

Fridge magnet

A display format for artwork sets, souvenirs and collections where wearable hardware is not needed.

The production method determines how the artwork must be prepared.

A design that prints well may not translate directly into enamel cells, and a strong enamel design may not need photographic detail.

Line and color planning

Enamel artwork needs manufacturable metal boundaries and color areas; very small gaps may need controlled simplification.

Print crop and bleed

Printed badges need an approved crop, safe text area and bleed around the visible face and wrapped edge.

Color and surface

Plating, enamel, printed color, protective film and gloss each create a different visual result.

Shape and edge

Round, heart, rectangle and custom shapes change the artwork crop, tooling, edge and backing position.

The back construction is part of the product specification.

Wearable, magnetic and display products need different attachment, safety and packing decisions.

Compare enamel, printed badge and magnet routes against artwork detail, use, quantity and budget.

2. Production artwork

Prepare metal-line color fills or printed crop, bleed and shape for buyer approval.

3. Hardware plan

Confirm post, clasp, safety pin, magnet or other backing and its position.

4. Sample or proof

Review color, shape, finish, edge, backing operation and packaging.

5. SKU release

Lock artwork, size, method, hardware, backing card and pack by design.

These images are not labelled as enamel-pin samples. Enamel pin specifications are reviewed separately when the buyer submits suitable artwork and requirements.

A multi-character collection can contain many SKUs even when every item uses the same nominal dimensions.

Sample factors

Artwork conversion, color review, tooling or shape proof, hardware sourcing and revision rounds.

Delivery factors

QC must check the visible face and the working back.

A collection also needs consistent crop, color direction, shape, backing cards and SKU separation across designs.

Front surface

Check outline, size, metal or wrapped edge, deformation and consistency across the batch.

Back hardware

Questions before choosing the production route.

Is a printed badge the same as an enamel pin?

No. A printed badge reproduces artwork on a printed face; an enamel pin uses a metal base with filled color areas and plating.

Which method is better for detailed character art?

Printed badges normally preserve gradients and small illustration details more directly. Enamel art usually needs stronger line and color simplification.

Can one order include many character designs?

Yes. Quantity per design, shared size, method, hardware, backing card and assortment rules must be listed clearly.

Can you make custom shapes?

Shape options depend on the chosen method, artwork, tooling and edge requirements. Send the outline for feasibility review.

What is the MOQ?

MOQ depends on method, tooling, design count, colors, hardware and packing. We review the complete collection instead of giving one number for every route.

Can you coordinate backing cards and barcodes?

Yes. Artwork, product dimensions, hardware position, SKU mapping and required labels should be stable before printing the cards.
